My daughter received one for her daughter at her baby shower 18 years ago. My granddaughter had 3 and her brother had 2. They carried them around with them everywhere. I have purchased one for every baby shower I have attended and now I need some for my latest grandchild. I know he will enjoy it as much as his cousins.

I first bought my daughter the small Comfort Silkie in lilac with brown trim at Special Addition in Austin, Texas, when I was pregnant with her; she'll be 5 years old. When she was a tiny infant, I would also put the Comfort Silkie near her, and it remains a trusted friend. Clearly, since I have just purchased my SIXTH identical Comfort Silkie because she keeps losing them, and we always like to have a spare around.

My best friend gave my daughter her first Comfort Silkie blanket 13 years ago. It was my daughter's most cherished lovie. She couldn't sleep without it and it went everywhere with us. It's the absolute greatest blanket!
