Here is my third and final review… at least for a few months. I have shared my sweet history of first my grandson with his Comfort Silkies, but I have two other grandsons, who also experienced them as little guys. Besides each of them having been gifted a few, they also received the larger sizes which they would wrap around themselves while watching television… and dragging them everywhere they went. They loved them so much that they wore holes in them. They were a sad disaster by the time they outgrew them. They were definitely well loved.
I don’t have any extras set aside for them yet, but I still have time as neither of them are getting married yet. But I probably should get a few more because I’m not getting any younger and I don’t want them to miss out on the opportunity of having these wonderful comforting blankets for their children.

The story behind my purchases.
Back in 1996, I discovered these soft little Comfort Silkies, shortly after my first grandson was born. He had two of them. One was for his home and the other stayed at my house. 💙 Since I cared for him every day, it became a necessary possession for his nap time.
During the next several years I purchased many more to give as gifts to other grandmothers for their grandchildren. When my grandson was about eight years old, he came upon his old blanket that I had carefully packed away with other special things from his younger days. He asked me if I would save one of the extra silkies I had purchased for when he got older and had children of his own! We talked about how much he had loved his and he knew his child would like one too. I purchased a blue one 💙 and left a message on top of it, noting the story of who it was to go to.
Now, 30 years after I gave him his first silky, he and his wife have shared that they are expecting their first child next spring. I will be a GREAT grandmother… And I will surprise him with that blue silky that he asked me to buy for his future child 22 years ago. 💙
In addition, I got a few more so baby will have them wherever he or she sleeps!
As soon as they announce the sex and name of the baby, I will order a larger monogrammed blanket to use on their outdoor walks next Spring!

I was looking for one of the original blankets in yellow, but you don’t have them. So I decided upon a plushy in the cream shade instead.
I purchased it for my first GREAT GRANDCHILD, who is expected next March. I am sure baby will love it as much as I do!

I bought the blanket for my son's new baby, I still have one of my son's comfort silkie blankies from 27 years ago. It seems like the same good quality plus I was able to get the baby's name embroidered on it. 😊

I bought my very first silky back in 1995 for my eldest son. He carried it everywhere. Fast forward to 2024, I got one for my first granddaughter, who happens to be his daughter. With another granddaughter on the way this December, I just had to get another one. It's safe to say that I absolutely adore the silky - my kids swear by it, and now my grandkids can't live without it either. Such an awesome product!
